The Gospel of Luke

Do you know what it feels like to live at odds with other people?

Always have a reason to fight, being angry with them, or them at you, but what if it did not have to be like that?

What if you could simply be at peace, neither mad nor frustrated, but at peace with those around you?

Read Luke 12:57-59.

Peace. That is what Jesus desires for you.

For you to have and know His peace, and to teach you how to live at peace with others.

For, after all, Jesus’ entire purpose for becoming a man was to make peace between God and men.

He humbled Himself, even to the cross so that we may be reconciled to Him.

And if Jesus went so far as to die to make peace, how much do you think He expects of you to live at peace with your fellow man?

Therefore, seek peace.

When you are wrong, admit it. And even when you are right, humble yourself, putting aside your pride and rather make peace your ultimate prize in every conversation, relationship, and person you meet.

And remember, though it was us who were dead in our own sin, Jesus was the One who humbled Himself and died to make peace.

Therefore, follow Jesus, and make peace your ultimate goal this day!

“Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!”
-1 Corinthians 6:2-3

Christian

Since coming to faith as a young college student, God’s lead has taken me around the world and back. Today, my passion is clearer than ever; my heart hurts for the lost, but it burns for the Church. My deepest desire is to equip the Church to be the body, working together to see people’s lives be redeemed in the name of Jesus. My name is Christian and my wife, Emily and I have been married for 6 years and have a little one named Amelia. Together, we’re fully committed to following Jesus to where ever He leads us.
