The Gospel of Luke

Over the three years that the disciples followed Jesus, they witnessed many miracles, learned profound truths of God, witnessed the love of the Messiah, and many other amazing things.

At the end of it all, they even witnessed Him rise from the dead, thus proving to all that He truly is the Son of God, and now, it all boils down to this one moment, His very last lesson before He ascends to His Father’s side.

Read Luke 24:36-49.

Jesus gave them the command to proclaim repentance and the forgiveness of sins to all the nations.

Therefore, at the cost of their own lives, they went into all the world, starting in Jerusalem and outwards into the unknown and pagan peoples, flipping the world on its head with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In fact, we are able to read these words and know the Gospel ourselves because of their obedience to Jesus’ command.

Today, the world is still a dark and pagan world, desperately in need of the saving grace of Jesus.

And something else to keep in mind, Jesus’ command is not finished yet; He is still calling for His people to go out into all the world and make disciples of every nation.

Our ancestors in the faith ran their race, and it is now time for us to run ours.

For until the Lord returns to take us home, we are still called to proclaim the name of Jesus so that all the world may know salvation in His name.

Therefore, are you ready? Take up the commission, impact the world, and transform the lives of people here, there, and to all nations!

Christian

Since coming to faith as a young college student, God’s lead has taken me around the world and back. Today, my passion is clearer than ever; my heart hurts for the lost, but it burns for the Church. My deepest desire is to equip the Church to be the body, working together to see people’s lives be redeemed in the name of Jesus. My name is Christian and my wife, Emily and I have been married for 6 years and have a little one named Amelia. Together, we’re fully committed to following Jesus to where ever He leads us.
