The Christian Conduct of Corinthians

As you come into the presence of the Lord today, take a moment to still your heart, your mind, and your spirit.

Be still before Him and invite Him to speak, to take precedence. When you are ready, begin with today’s passage, and as distant or close as you may feel concerning it, allow these words of wisdom the room to speak, first and foremost allowing the Spirit to lead you in all that He has to share.

Read 1 Corinthians 7:1-16.

Does this passage mean anything to you? Are you married, unmarried, or desiring to be married?

Are you living in holiness in your marriage, equally or unequally yoked, and displaying the Gospel through it whether your significant-other knows the Lord or not?

As these thoughts and all that you have read roll around in your mind, invite the Holy Spirit to speak concerning them all.

Give Him the permission to share with you His divine wisdom and thoughts concerning your life, marriage, and way of living and honoring Jesus.

Still your mind before Him, and take a few minutes to simply be still, with your eyes closed, and just listen.

What has He shared? What thoughts or convictions rose to the surface of your heart and mind as you read these words and stilled yourself before Him today?

In what way can you intentionally live before the Lord and offer your marriage or singleness to Jesus?

For in all these things, whether married, single, or engaged, remember that you are first and foremost a follower of Jesus, therefore make it your desire and goal to honor and seek Him in it all, and go, allow the glory of God to shine in and through you in whatever or wherever He has you!

Christian

Since coming to faith as a young college student, God’s lead has taken me around the world and back. Today, my passion is clearer than ever; my heart hurts for the lost, but it burns for the Church. My deepest desire is to equip the Church to be the body, working together to see people’s lives be redeemed in the name of Jesus. My name is Christian and my wife, Emily and I have been married for 6 years and have a little one named Amelia. Together, we’re fully committed to following Jesus to where ever He leads us.
