The Christian Conduct of Corinthians

As we come to a close of the Apostle Paul’s two letters to the young Corinthian Church, he charges them with words of encouragement and guidance for them to live by.

So, as we conclude this day, let us take these words and allow them to settle into our own hearts so to continue following Jesus in all we do.

Therefore, as we read these final few sentences, take your time, read them slowly, stop and rest with each charge Paul gives and how they reflect in your own life:

Read 2 Corinthians 13:11-14.

How are you living out these instructions in your own life and relationships?

They may seem simple, maybe even unnecessary, but they truly demonstrate an aspect of how we as God’s people are to love and care for one another.

So, the question stands, do you aim for restoring relationships that are broken? Do you bother to comfort those in need? Do you agree and come to mutual understandings, live in peace, and operate in God’s love? And as odd as it sounds, do you go out of your way to greet one another lavishly and lovingly?

And the big question that determines all the above, are you in fellowship with a body of believers that do life with one another in the first place?

If you consider yourself a follower of Jesus, this is pivotal to your faith, therefore consider these things today, and allow the Holy Spirit to be your guide in them all.

For this is your calling, to love God, to love people, and walk in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, therefore go, and apply all these truths to your faith today!

Reflection Questions:

Do you have a fellowship of other believers? Yes, or no?

If no, how can you get plugged in at your Church and do life with other believers?

Christian

Since coming to faith as a young college student, God’s lead has taken me around the world and back. Today, my passion is clearer than ever; my heart hurts for the lost, but it burns for the Church. My deepest desire is to equip the Church to be the body, working together to see people’s lives be redeemed in the name of Jesus. My name is Christian and my wife, Emily and I have been married for 6 years and have a little one named Amelia. Together, we’re fully committed to following Jesus to where ever He leads us.
