According to the disciples, the crowd who followed Jesus believed that He must have been John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets of old.

Though they had eyes to see and know Jesus, they were all blind, except for one.

This blind man, though born blind and silenced by the crowd, alone had eyes to see who Jesus truly was, the Son of David, the Messiah.

All around you, just as it was then, on the bus, at the store, working beside you, passing you on the street, and even in your own home, people consider Jesus as simply being a good moral teacher.

They do not realize who He truly is, otherwise, they would repent of their sins and give all to follow Him.

Just like the crowd, they are blind.

But you, do you see?

Do you know who Jesus truly is? Do you see Him and know His glory?

Do you have the faith as this blind man to come before the King of kings and request your sight to be made whole?

Today, you might see, but would you like to see more?

Pray and ask the Spirit of God to give you eyes that see more of Jesus, that you may have the same assurance of faith as this blind man did all those years ago, and more.

And pray not only for yourself, but for the crowd all around you, that they too may see, and come to know Jesus as the King of Kings, and Lord of lords.

Christian

Since coming to faith as a young college student, God’s lead has taken me around the world and back. Today, my passion is clearer than ever; my heart hurts for the lost, but it burns for the Church. My deepest desire is to equip the Church to be the body, working together to see people’s lives be redeemed in the name of Jesus. My name is Christian and my wife, Emily and I have been married for 6 years and have a little one named Amelia. Together, we’re fully committed to following Jesus to where ever He leads us.
