The Gospel of Luke
In the early Church, a friend of the Apostle Paul accompanied him on his missionary trips around the world.
Known as the physician, this man was the only Gentile to author any parts of the New Testament.
This man’s name? Luke.
Read Luke 1:1-4.

Writing to a believed-to-be Roman official, Luke carefully studied and investigated the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He wrote not of things in a distant land, or of a fairy tale from long ago, but with great detail, recorded that which was “accomplished among us”, and compiled the stories of those who were “eyewitnesses”.
Did you hear that?
Today, many try to claim that the stories we read in the Bible are events recorded many years afterward, but according to these words, that is simply not true.
These men witnessed and lived beside Jesus.
They were witnesses and benefactors of His miracles, healings, and teachings.
Their very eyes saw Him hanging on the cross, and three days later eating at their table.
Luke makes it clear that he was writing so that we may know with “certainty” the things that we are told.
Today, are you certain of your faith, or are you not quite convinced?
Then take heart and join us as we continue with the Gospel of Luke, hear the eyewitness testimonies and the glory of the Lord Jesus, and know for yourself so that you may believe with certainty just as Luke encouraged the man named Theophilus all those years ago!
