The Letter of 1 Thessalonians

As we have observed through Paul and the Thessalonian Church, there are a lot of benefits and rewards that come with reaping the Lord’s harvest.

It may be difficult work, but the wages that you will reap are beyond words.

And to make it even better, did you know there are forms of rewards for your work even before you get to Heaven?

Continue with today’s reading and pay attention to Paul’s words, his heart, and how he truly feels about these people and the effort he has poured into them.

Read 1 Thessalonians 3:6-13.

Did you notice how Paul spoke of these people?

His words are consumed with his love and care for them, and we can easily see that Paul has become so endeared with them that they might as well be his own children.

These are the people who he reaped for the Lord, and they have become his pride and joy.

And the amazing thing we need to know about this is that this is not something special between just Paul and the Thessalonians but is an example of the natural relationships that are forged when we serve the Lord and take part in transforming lives with the love of God.

This is one of the many blessings for those who carry out God’s will to go out and work the harvest by sharing the Gospel to the lost and hence truly become the community of believers we are meant to become.

Therefore, what are you waiting for? What do you have to lose? This is your opportunity to truly start living in the Kingdom of God!

Reflection Questions:

Do you have any friends that are fellow believers?

Is there anyone in your life that you have poured into and took part in their salvation or at least spiritual growth?

What does that relationship look like today?

Christian

Since coming to faith as a young college student, God’s lead has taken me around the world and back. Today, my passion is clearer than ever; my heart hurts for the lost, but it burns for the Church. My deepest desire is to equip the Church to be the body, working together to see people’s lives be redeemed in the name of Jesus. My name is Christian and my wife, Emily and I have been married for 6 years and have a little one named Amelia. Together, we’re fully committed to following Jesus to where ever He leads us.
